Saturn vehicles have never looked so good, and vehicle shoppers are starting to notice - especially import buyers. According to an analysis by Edmunds.com, Saturn is on the shopping lists of potential buyers and converting lookers into buyers like never before. Many sales are coming from people who normally buy imports, especially GM's Asian competitors: Honda, Nissan and Toyota. Until recently, Saturn was known primarily for its outstanding dealership experience. But, for the past two years, the company has been going through a design renaissance - driven largely by a phenomenal team of female designers - and is now also being recognized for its outstanding design
and affordable hybrid alternatives.
Saturn's bold new design direction began in 2006, with the introduction of the beautifully sculpted SKY Convertible (limited availability) - a roadster that's as stunning on the inside as it is on the outside. Next came the 2007 AURA. With its inspired design and driving dynamics, the AURA brought some much-needed pizazz to the midsize sedan segment. AURA was named 2007 North American Car of the Year Award based on voting by a panel of 49 automotive journalists - beating out the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Nissan Altima. A hybrid version, AURA Green Line, is available in limited quantities, giving drivers an affordable, fuel-efficient alternative.1 In early 2007, the OUTLOOK crossover debuted. A crossover with three rows of seats is a first for Saturn - and it has people trading in their Honda Pilot and Toyota Highlander models, according to Edmunds.com. Coming up next is the release of the next-generation VUE. The 2008 model gets a makeover, too, featuring a more

progressive exterior and a refined interior that takes it cues from modern furniture design and architecture. In late 2007, the VUE will offer an affordable hybrid alternative (limited availability): the VUE Green Line. The hybrid system is designed to deliver up to a 20-percent improvement in combined fuel economy over the conventional VUE engine.2 At the end of the year, the 2008 ASTRA will be available in both three-door and five-door models. Based on an Opel with the same name, it also has a flair that will help set it apart in the small car segment.
This stylish new lineup reflects the touch of Saturn's female force - from its dynamic general manager, Jill Ladjziak, and director of Product and Brand Development, Lisa Hutchinson, to its leading designers, including Vicki Vlachakis, Liz Wetzel, Therese Tant, Crystal Windham and Esther Martinez.
