With funds raised through Chicago Tribune Holiday Giving, Chicago Tribune Charities awarded grants totaling more than $4.3 million last year to more than 140 Chicagoland nonprofit organizations that offer programs to help low-income people develop employment and literacy skills, alleviate hunger and homelessness, and support family stability.
